Since 2009, Tara and Cristina have been helping models and actors of all ages and experience levels sign with reputable agencies nationwide. In a tough industry, they provide personalized guidance to allow their clients to stand out. Nothing is more fulfilling than watching the next generation of models get their start in an industry that has been so good to them.
ABOUT Model makers
Model Makers Group is not a mother agency or management company, but rather trusted, industry consultants. Over the past 10 years we have successfully helped model-clients sign with top agencies around the country. The goal is to empower models and their parents with the practical knowledge and personalized guidance needed to get started in the business.
Today it's easier than ever to get a no from an agent and we never recommend just winging it- no matter how gorgeous or talented you are! Our goal is to give our models the best chance of getting a YES! right away. We only take on clients whom we believe truly have a chance of working in the industry. Our clients have an amazing success rate and we want to help you experience the same personal success.
With a career in entertainment spanning over two decades, Tara has worked as a professional model serving fashion brands like Guess, Jessica Simpson, True Religion, Speedo, and Patagonia, and also hosting syndicated travel series like Crossing Country and Get Out. Her entertainment work allowed her to travel and work in cities across the United States, England, China, Barbados, Canada, and South Africa to name a few. Additional broadcasting credits include hosting for The Jewelry Channel, RealTV Films, and an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, among others. In 2009, Tara took her passion for molding the next generation of models to new heights by co-creating Model Makers Group, a talent consulting company.
Tara served as Miss Alabama USA 2004 and placed as a Top Ten Finalist at Miss USA. When she won Fear Factor: Miss USA Edition (NBC) and made a contribution to a breast cancer charity with her prize earnings, she never expected to face the disease herself at age thirty-five. Tara is determined to use her voice to touch the lives of other young women facing a health crisis, and that led to the founding of her non-profit organization, www.amodelpatient.org.
Tara began her collegiate education as a Tri Delta Sorority member at Ole Miss and received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree from the University of Houston-Downtown. Tara resides in Dallas, Texas with her husband and two young daughters.
Cristina began her modeling journey in Boston, Massachusetts over twenty-five years ago. Early in her entertainment career she placed as a Top 40 Finalist in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue which catapulted her career and led to international modeling and travel opportunities in Greece and China, and later in England and Canada. She relocated to Los Angeles, California soon after serving as Miss Massachusetts USA 2005 and quickly developed professional relationships with top designers. A few of her favorite modeling clients have included James Perse, Jessica Simpson, McDonald’s, Monique Lhuillier, Jones New York, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom. Her film credits include Hall Pass and Ocean’s Thirteen, and she’s appeared in numerous commercials and television shows. She co-created Model Makers Group in 2009 and is passionate about using her expertise to show aspiring models the ropes and help them turn their dreams into reality. Cristina has always used her position in entertainment to positively impact others, and she has proudly served as a spokesperson for Soles4Souls and loves reaching women as Program Director for A Model Patient 501(c)(3).
Cristina attended Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. She now resides outside of Providence, Rhode Island with her husband and three young children.
