INTERNATIONAL MODELING AGENCY PLACEMENT
AND TALENT DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
model makers group
Since 2009, Tara and Cristina have been helping models and actors of all ages and experience levels sign with reputable agencies nationwide. In a tough industry, they provide personalized guidance to allow their clients to stand out. Nothing is more fulfilling than watching the next generation of models get their start in an industry that has been so good to them.
ABOUT Model makers
We are not a mother agency or management company, but rather professional industry consultants. Over the past 10 years we've helped our clients sign with top agencies around the country; it is so rewarding to watch those we've mentored go on to book photoshoots, commercials, fashion shows and TV & film roles. We consider ourselves to be a smart alternative to pricey (and often deceptive) modeling schools. We empower our models and their parents with the practical knowledge and personalized guidance needed to get started in the business- the first objective is to help new models get signed with an agency.
Today it's easier than ever to get a no from an agent and we never recommend just winging it- no matter how gorgeous or talented you are! Our goal is to give our models the best chance of getting a YES! right away. We only take on clients whom we believe truly have a chance of working in the industry. Our clients have an amazing success rate and we want to help you experience the same personal success.
Being honored as Miss Alabama USA in 2004 and placing as a Top Ten Finalist at Miss USA was a turning point for Tara Darby Rasheta. That same year she won the hit show Fear Factor on NBC and appeared as a special guest on Larry King Live. As a professional model, Tara’s career consisted of serving fashion clients like Guess, Jessica Simpson, True Religion, Speedo and Patagonia. Her broadcasting work allowed her to travel to England, China, Barbados, Canada, and South Africa as she hosted television shows like the syndicated travel series’ Get Out and Crossing Country. Tara’s broadcasting career includes credits as a host for programs such as The Jewelry Channel and RealTV Films and she made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, among other programs and commercials.
Tara began her collegiate education as a Tri Delta Sorority member at Ole Miss and received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies degree from the University of Houston-Downtown. Tara resides in Dallas, TX with her husband and two young daughters. She enjoys volunteering through the Dallas Independent School District, serves as Social Co-Chairperson for Incarnation Academy, is the Chairperson for the Brookhaven and Denton County Cotillions, is an active member of the Cancer Support Community and participates as a member of the Dallas United Crew Pink Dragon Boat Team. Tara passionately runs a small non-profit, A Model Patient 501(c)(3), that serves women who have been affected by breast cancer.
Cristina began her modeling career in Boston, Massachusetts over 20 years ago. With little information on how to break into the modeling world, Cristina and her Mom purchased The Complete Idiot's Guide to Being a Model and her journey began. During her teen and college years you could spot Cristina in local advertisements, runways and television commercials. She even placed as a Top 40 Finalist in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Cristina also had the honor to compete at Miss USA as Miss Massachusetts USA in 2005. After her reign, she relocated to Los Angeles for eleven years and worked primarily as a red carpet correspondent with Real TV Films and other outlets. Some of her top fashion and fit modeling clients have included: James Perse, Jessica Simpson, Monique Lhuillier, Guess, Jones New York, Manhattan Swimwear, Echo Design, Destination Maternity, Oakley, Patagonia, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. Cristina's uses her expertise and passion to provide new models personalized guidance (much better than just reading a book!) to help them turn their dreams into a reality.
