While Model Makers Group has specialized in national Agency Placement since 2009, we have recently partnered with a long-standing East Coast agency to offer International Placement for a select group of models. Please read all the details below carefully before completing the initial application. If accepted, the next step will be to schedule an informational Zoom or in-person meeting to discuss this unique opportunity further.

What is a showcase?
A showcase is an event where several agencies meet in one location to consider models for representation. Models must pay to attend these showcases. If you have worked with us, you know that we do not condone national showcases. For local, regional or national representation, we do not see that a showcase is necessary or beneficial for models. However, for international placement this practice is more common and makes financial sense. Rather than traveling separately to London, Milan, Athens and Paris to meet with top agencies, this particular showcase allows models and agents to convene in one central location.

More about this showcase.
This showcase is celebrating its 20th year. Learn more HERE. One of the event organizers, Deborah Lasher, is also an agent at New England Models Group which we have worked with years. This is a legitimate organization which provides a unique opportunity for qualified models.

Who can apply?
Female models must be between the ages of 16-27 and stand 5'7-6'0. They should have a lean and proportionate build with a full hip measurement no larger than 36 inches. Generally the model should be size 0-2. They should also have a valid passport or be able to obtain one prior to May 25.

What are the model obligations?
Selected models will work with Model Makers Group to prepare for the showcase (by Zoom or in person in Dallas, TX or Providence, RI) by practicing model walking technique, selecting wardrobe for the event, strengthening the modeling portfolios and working on interview and personal presentation technique. Models under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Models must be able to travel to Paris May 25-30.

What are the financial obligations?
In order to get agencies from all these markets in one place, they must have their travel accommodations covered. Therefore, there is a fee to attend this showcase and we charge a consulting fee to prepare the models and to travel to Paris with them.

Showcase Fee to attend with Model Makers- $1950*
*The above fee does not include travel accommodations.

Other Fees to Expect:
Airfare to Paris
Hotel (breakfast included at host hotel)
Lunches & Dinners
Optional Photoshoots in Paris
Optional River Seine Dinner Cruise (with event organizers)

The host hotel is the Hilton Paris Opera Hotel and they are offering a discounted rate of $359€. If a model is traveling on her own, she can room with another model.
All agency meetings will take place at the hotel.
Do all models get placed?
There is no guarantee that a model will get placed- that goes for national or international placement. Getting signed with a European Agency is kind of like getting into an ivy league school; many aspire to attain this but few will accomplish it. We will only take models whom we are confident have a good chance at getting a signed contract.
When a model does get placed, details of her modeling stint will be discussed at that time with her agency. The model will travel home and then likely return and model over the summer in the city where her agency is based. Model lodging is provided by the host agencies. Keep in mind that models traveling for their trade can stay no longer than 90 days in a 180 day period under a business visa. If the model is under 18, a guardian must accompany the model overseas.
